The kind of gold that He wants to bring out is transparent gold. He wants us to be transparent, and that's hard, but He wants to be able to shine that light through that gold and not see the imperfections. That means getting real and getting honest with people, letting other people see you.
There are times they are going to argue with you because you are the way you are. Sometimes they are going to point out something that maybe you don't want to see, but if we have that humble and repentant spirit before the Lord and just say, Lord, here am I (like the song said tonight), "Here am I, I have come to do My Father's will..." I have come to do His purpose. I have come to be what He wants me to be. Then, He can move through you.
It's not about what we're doing; it's not about that. He wants us to be able to walk, and gold gives off a light. I'm noticing your gold shoes [said to Bill Burns, the host pastor]--it's like you've prepared the way. It's just gold tried by the fire.
There's different kinds of fire-- There's a fire of His glory that is like a light; it is bright and shines and people see it, but then there's also the fire for perfection that you spoke about earlier today, the refining fire.
And, there is some fire that is just tribulation. We've got to have a discernment between the fire of tribulation and the fire of refining because there are some people that will claim it's the same thing, but it's not always.
We need to get to that place where we know our God so well that when we are transparent and purified gold, when He sees that gold, when other people see the gold they will say they don't see any imperfections in that because the light can shine through that gold.
Think about it--the streets are transparent gold. Our walk is going to be pure; it has to be pure; it has to be perfect; it has to be refined; it has to be beautiful. There is a way we walk; you will get persecution because of that walk, but it's okay.
Even earlier today (everybody has these great sermons that are keying together), but when it's the persecution of Babylon, it will fall off. It won't matter because it doesn't matter if you are persecuted for righteousness sake. We are persecuted because we need to be corrected. We need to quickly come to that place where we can get corrected. We need to be gold tried by the fire because it is the light and it shines the way of the Lord.
There is coming a day that He is going to say, "Well done, My good and faithful servant." But, He also says, "Enter into My joy." He doesn't expect us to go back out of it again. That's what this group is doing tonight; that's what we're coming into tonight. So many times we come up and we minister and give a ministry and have to go back and fight all these devils, right? But this is a turning point tonight.
As we were coming into the city I saw the word "gateway," and this is a gateway happening tonight. But, we are coming into that place where when we come in, we don't have to go back any more.
We've got to be able to stand the tribulation, stand the fire. We've got to know what's of God. If you've got God in you, you're Teflon. It's holy! Who can stand before the Lord? We have the shield of faith up; shine it up! Make sure it can't penetrate. The only way it can penetrate is by an imperfection, so let God work on that because His purpose is to get them all out."
