Mark 1:
1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
2 As it is written in the Prophets: "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You."
3 "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.'"
4 John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
Mttw 11:
13 "For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
14 "And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come.
15 "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
Mttw 14:
6 But when Herod's birthday was celebrated, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herod.
7 Therefore he promised with an oath to give her whatever she might ask.
8 So she, having been prompted by her mother, said, "Give me John the Baptist's head here on a platter."
9 And the king was sorry; nevertheless, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he commanded it to be given to her.
10 So he sent and had John beheaded in prison.
Today God is speaking loud and clear about the need for repentance. Many people, hungry for the meaning of life and knowing there is more outside of closed-in churches, are going beyond the four walls to see if they can find words to help and satisfy. Some things are not right.
There are those who are being equipped for the battles ahead. They have undergone persecutions and mockings but they hear a Voice sounding louder than the voice of man.
The enemy, having sent out his fallen angels to carry out his plans, is being discerned by those who are tapped in to the spiritual realm. For those who are more concerned about the world system, it is business as usual.
The day is similar to the time when Jesus walked the earth. The Bible says it was "in the fullness of time."
Galatians 4:
4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
Jesus said, "You must be born again." (John 3:3)
The enemy to Life has begun parading his short term "power." Today in the news we see him taunting the beheading of men because they are "American." It is tragic indeed and decent people around the world mourn with these families.
The time of polarizing has begun taking place in earnest. Do you want the frenzies of a seared mind and consciousness or will you seek and cry out for the Living God?
There are patterns and parallels in Spiritual life. There are types and shadows that speak of times ahead. Some prophecies can be fulfilled more than once, in greater measures.
The times of the prophets with the calls of repentance are giving way to the voice that cries, "Behold the Lamb of God! The Kingdom of Heaven is here! The Lord is revealing His Son! Are you ready to be with Him?"
To be with the Lord means a forsaking of our carnal ways. We must indeed be prepared to "lose our heads" and "our" thinking for His ways that lead to eternal life. It's not either/or, it's the fullness of time, where our redemption has drawn nigh.
God knows that we honor this life because in its purity, it represents heaven. We have been taught to pray by the Lord Jesus Himself, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven."
We want the fullness of His times, for it is the overcoming life. It destroys, annihilates, and banishes the enemy and kingdom of darkness. Yes, there is a battle as the enemy and his hosts sees that end of his time is near. It's time for us to proclaim that to him loud and clear.
But we also can declare that the Revelation of the Christ, the Anointed One, is drawing near again. We can look with expectant eyes and hearts. He is coming back. He is returning for His own. Are you ready?
He is indeed the One who overcomes the world.
